Margaret DeBoe Leadership Program

About the Program

Firm partners often tell us that they wish their younger staff had stronger management, communication or other “soft” skills, that they were more invested in a career in public practice or that they could step up to business development roles more effectively. Even the best technicians will struggle to advance in firms if they cannot master these leadership qualities, and we think this is an area where the GWSCPA can better serve our members.

The Society and Foundation board and staff have developed a new leadership program that we piloted in 2016 with great success and 15 graduates. The second class of the Margaret DeBoe Leadership Program ran from February 2018 through June 2018 with 21 students graduating. We are continuing to grow and fine tune the program and are excited for the 3rd year to expand to 2 classes run simultaneously. The 2018-19 class will run October 2018-June 2019. If you are interested in sending a participant, please contact Meghan Jenkins, mjenkins@gwscpa.org.
