Margaret DeBoe Leadership Program Graduates

Margaret DeBoe Leadership Program Graduates

We are happy to announce that the third and fourth class of the Margaret DeBoe Leadership Program graduated on June 4 and 5, 2019. We had 21 young leaders participating from 16 of our member firms and they were led by Sonny Morris with AHI Associates who facilitated each of the sessions this year. They met six times for half day sessions from October through June and will be celebrated for their accomplishment at the GWSCPA Annual Meeting on Thursday, June 6th.

Firm partners often tell us that they wish their younger staff had stronger management, communication or other “soft” skills, that they were more invested in a career in public practice or that they could step up to business development roles more effectively. Even the best technicians will struggle to advance in firms if they cannot master these leadership qualities, and we knew this was an area where the GWSCPA could better serve our members.  We are currently in the process of planning for the next leadership class to begin in Fall 2019. If you have interest in participating or sending someone from your Firm, contact Meghan Jenkins,
