Pilot Program of Nonprofit Leadership Program Graduates

We are happy to announce that the pilot year of the Nonprofit Leadership Program graduated on June 4, 2019. We had 16 young leaders participating from the membership. They met six times for half day sessions from October through June and will be celebrated for their accomplishment at the GWSCPA Annual Meeting on Thursday, June 6th.

The program was created to provide emerging professionals the opportunity, along with a small cohort of similar younger professionals in nonprofits, to meet throughout the year to develop themselves and build a peer network of future leaders. We believe this could create an exciting new generation of nonprofit finance leaders here in the DC area and that this can strengthen the nonprofit sector significantly into the future.

We are currently in the process of planning for the next leadership class to begin in Fall 2019. If you have interest in participating or sending someone from your organization, contact Meghan Jenkins, mjenkins@gwscpa.org.
