Does rewarding work, helping nonprofits, with an employer who values your contribution and you as a person, appeal to you? If so check out our website YPTC.com, or read on.
Your Part-Time Controller LLC, (YPTC), has been named a Best Place to Work by the Business Journal for several years in a row - and we are growing!
Unlike some other firms who contract individuals or fill temporary assignments, our staff members are our employees. They are employed by us, either full or part-time (with benefits!) based on their personal preference, to work with our clients. Most of our engagements are long-term part-time arrangements, affording our staff the ability to have both consistency and variety at the same time.
And - we offer an exceptional work environment. Here are just a few of the reasons why our staff told us they voted us a Best Place to Work - several times over:
•YPTC is a great company where you can do great things while having a great time.
•Flexible full or part-time employment affords our staff the ability to have both employment stability and client variety at the same time
•Awesome benefits package – including a free health insurance option and loads of vacation!
•Extraordinary growth of our firm means extraordinary opportunities for growth for members of our staff.
•We work with nonprofits – making our jobs challenging AND rewarding, but without tax season and lots of hours.
•Every member of our staff has the independence of being able to work on their own at clients and be seen as an expert while still having a large group of people for support if they need it.
•We help our clients with their problems by helping them understand where they stand and participating with them to create solutions.
•We work with a variety of software systems, and learn how to make them function efficiently to support each client's specific needs.
•35 hour work week, and paid overtime over 35 hours!
•So much care for employees – our staff aren't a bunch of "numbers". We encourage and celebrate their unique contributions to our team.
•YPTC is the perfect marriage of our accounting skills and passion for supporting our communities. We feel good about what we do each day knowing that our work directly enables our nonprofit clients to continue to be change-agents in our communities.
•We offer extensive and ongoing training opportunities – during orientation and beyond - including CPE eligible trainings.
•We look for ways to match our employees with our clients to ensure "fit".
•We talk to our staff to make sure they're OK and are there at the drop of a dime if needed.
•While we are all employees of the company, our work requires us to think and often act like entrepreneurs. It is this mix of creativity and common sense that makes the work so appealing to t.
•We all have clients with whom the honeymoon never ends. They hired us for the right reasons, they appreciate what we have been able to do since then and they love to tap our capabilities for new ideas on an ongoing basis. It is that feeling of appreciation that keeps so many of us going.
•We talk about why we are in business - to help nonprofits - not just what we do. We have a mission and we attract people, as both employees and as clients, who share our core beliefs.
What we do for our clients:
We work with our clients throughout the year by performing high level accounting functions including: month-end transaction processing, monthly financial report preparation, budgeting, cash flow planning/analysis and outside audit facilitation. In addition, we streamline, automate and evaluate accounting systems and processes as well as consult with our clients about accounting and financial "best practices".
Due to practice expansion, we are seeking full-time and part-time accountants who are independent thinking, take charge individuals, who can hit the ground running. YPTC offers flexible scheduling, competitive salary, excellent benefits and ongoing professional development training opportunities. Send us your resume, cover letter, and salary requirements.
