AP Staff Accountant

The AP Staff Accountant is a critical position in the Finance and Administration Unit. She/he will assist and support the Team in carrying out their overall finance, accounting, and administrative functions. These responsibilities include accounting, financial and project management, and logistical support for the Finance and Administrative Unit.

 Essential Job Duties:

Ø  Responsible for the full cycle Accounts Payable function, i.e. reviewing invoices, coding, payments, and annual 1099 reporting.

Ø  Custodian of TMG’s Corporate Credit/Charge cards, i.e. Amex, Staples, etc.

Ø  Responsible for the review and reconciliations of all travel reconciliations.

Ø  Responsible for reconciliations of all GL travel and other advance payment accounts reconciliations.

Ø  Responsible for filing the annual DC Use Tax report and payments.

Ø  Responsible for reviewing, monitoring, and tracking of assigned field expenditures and monthly local expenses received from the Operations Team.

Ø  Assist the Controller in overseeing contract administrative and final closeouts.

Ø  Responsible for keeping track of all fixed assets inventory and updating them for the annual audit/review.

Ø  Assist the Controller in keeping track of monthly billing flow to ensure accuracy timeliness in the preparation and submission of monthly billings.

Ø  Assists the CFO and Controller in the preparation of HR and Admin fillings, i.e. 401k and annual DBA reconciliations and fillings

Ø  Assist the F & A team in monitoring subcontracts/service providers comply with TMG procurement and financial management procedures.

Ø  Provide logistics (supplies, procurement, etc.) support to the Finance Team as required.

Ø  Record Cash Receipts on a regular basis

Ø  All other duties as assigned by the CFO and/or Controller

 

Requirement:

Ø   Associate Degree in Accounting or two years of accounting experience.

Ø  Prior Accounting software experience preferred (Deltek Costpoint or Deltek GCS), but not required.

Ø  Experience with Microsoft Office

Ø  Individual should have excellent problem-solving skills and be a team contributor

Ø  Individual should be organized, have attention to detail, be dependable and trustworthy.
