CBP, the Nation’s largest Federal law enforcement agency, safeguards America’s borders and ports of entry while enabling legitimate trade and travel. The Assistant Commissioner (AC)/Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for the Office of Finance oversees all budgetary and finance-related matters of a multi-billion dollar operating budget for an agency that collects tens of billions of dollars annually for the Federal Government.
Major duties include: leading effective financial management control over CBP resources; establishing/maintaining controls to detect, deter and prevent waste, fraud and abuse; strategic direction for operations improvements and systems modernization with effective internal controls to produce useful/timely financial data; overseeing the development and submission of appropriations justifications and estimates; participating in executive governance boards, councils and trade groups; developing/maintaining partnerships within the agency as well as Congress, other government agencies and professional groups.
Annual salary range: $124,406 - $187,000 plus performance bonuses for superior accomplishments.
