Entry-Level Accounting Specialist Needed (Part-Tim

National, member-supported nonprofit is in search of the ideal candidate to facilitate accounting and administrative responsibilities at its headquarters location.  We are an association of dynamic business and professional women united in offering our time, expertise and knowledge to give back in service to our local communities.  Our headquarters office is open 9am - 1pm, Monday - Friday. The duties of the Accounting Specialist are:

Investigate all issues for account receivables and payables.

Administer all complex data entries and journals for cost accounting and make appropriate corrections and adjustment as required.

Administer and process all transactions for vouchers and maintain invoices for ledgers and reconcile all financial statements.

Analyze all accounting processes and make appropriate correction as required.

Manage and process all bills, vendor payments and invoices for payment bi-monthly.

Process check disbursements and enter cash receipts and invoices and post to General Ledger

Administer credit card statements, reconcile all of it and identify any discrepancies in same.

Assist various departments and processing all closing of accounts.

Develop and manage all financial statements and ensure confidentiality of all information.

Manage all data, administer appropriate coding and update information on processing system.

Analyze all accounting requirements and distribute all mails to account department appropriately.

Perform monthly bank reconcilations for all bank and credit card accounts.

Work closely with Membership Coordinator to maintain accurate membership revenue accounts.

Perform customer service when interacting with member clients; facilitating problem-solving and research skills for member accounts.

Assist in the annual audit.

Enter registrations fees and process receipts to individuals registering for the National Convention.

Disburse scholarship checks.

Peform administrative functions, i.e., filing, drafting correspondences, distribution of company mail

Proficiency in QuickBooks Premier Nonprofit Edition a must.
