The Information Technology Industry Council (ITI) is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Senior Vice President, Administration to join its growing team in Washington, DC. As a key member of the executive team, you will report to the President and CEO. The incumbent will have a leadership role in the financial decision-making that affects ITI and the ITI Foundation and will provide strategic financial advice to the President and CEO, senior executives, and the Board of Directors. You will oversee the accounting process while developing and implementing financial procedures to improve and ensure the financial health of ITI. This position will head and directly supervise the finance, human resources and administration, and information technology teams.
Major Responsibilities include:
•Manage ITI’s and the ITI Foundation’s fiscal function and performance.
•Participate in the development of financial plans and programs as a strategic partner to the President and CEO and senior executives.
•Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs and strategies, and regulatory action.
•Develop and provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, and financial trends in order to assist the President and CEO, the Board of Directors, and senior executives in performing their responsibilities.
•Enhance, develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures of ITI through systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the association.
•Establish credibility throughout ITI and with the Board as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges.
•Provide technical financial advice and knowledge to others within the financial discipline.
•Continually improve the budgeting process through education of department heads on financial issues impacting department budgets.
•Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the association, including coordinating the operation of the Finance and Audit Committee of the Board of Directors.
•Provide financial perspective on any contracts into which the association enters.
•Manage the relationship with independent auditors, tax advisors, and vendors.
•Lead the finance, human resources and administration, and information technology staff to provide individuals with professional and personal growth opportunities.
•Oversee teams responsible for the development and implementation of hiring and retention, information technology, and administrative policies and procedures that advance the goals of ITI and its member companies.
Qualified candidates will offer a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with a minimum of ten years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, plus a minimum of five years in a management role. ITI is seeking candidates with proven work experience in a nonprofit organization; association experience is a preferred. Ideal candidates will have knowledge of all aspects of GAAP and FASB and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting. Professional accounting designation is a must. Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office 365 and Dynamics SL, financial reporting software is required; proficiency in Certify and Sage 50 is also preferred. A Master of Business Administration and/or CPA are a plus.
