John is currently the Deputy Inspector General for Montgomery County, MD. Previously, John was an audit partner at KPMG from 1984-2010. At KPMG, his major federal audit client was the Department of Justice (DoJ). He was the “signing” partner for the consolidated audit of the DoJ’s annual financial statements as well as two stand-alone audit reports (the Asset Forfeiture Fund and the Offices, Boards, and Divisions of the DoJ). In the past, he held the “signing” partner role at the FBI, DEA, and Office of Justice Programs as well. He also led the annual audits of the Department of the Interior, the National Park Service, the National Science Foundation, and the Government Accountability Office.He is a Certified Public Accountant in the District of Columbia, Virginia, and Maryland; a Certified Government Financial Manager; and a Certified Fraud Examiner.
