GWSCPA Announces Women to Watch Awards Program

The Greater Washington Society of CPAs, together with AICPA, is pleased to announce the first annual Women to Watch Awards.  These awards recognize women who exemplify the business case for female leadership in firms and industry.

Nominations for the 2013 awards are being accepted until September 3, 2013.To submit a nomination for one of the categories below, please complete the Women to Watch Nomination Form and return to aakintilo@gwscpa.org on or before September 3. There are two nomination categories for women CPAs and a third category for a community leader who may or may not be a CPA:

  • CPA Experienced Leaders – women who have made notable contributions to the accounting profession, their organizations and the development of women CPAs as leaders
  • CPA Emerging Leaders – women who have demonstrated characteristics that will enable them to become leaders in the profession
  • Community Leader- a man or woman who provides opportunities for the successful integration of women’s personal and professional lives and the advancement of women to positions of leadership and/or who has been a civic leader in our community on professional women’s issues

The 2013 Women to Watch Awards will be presented at the J.W. Marriott following the final session of AICPA’s Women’s Global Leadership Summit on Friday Oct. 25, 2013.
