Mayor Vincent Gray signs the DC Mobility Bill !

Yesterday, Mayor Gray advanced the DC Mobility initiative another step when he officially signed the Accountant Mobility Act of 2011.

Since this is DC, the bill must now be subjected to a 30-day congressional review period and we anticipate no problems during this period of time. The final hurdle before mobility can become effective in DC will then involve securing funding in the FY13 District budget for the measure. Rest assured we are working with Councilmembers to address this final step to ensure that mobility will be effective in the District of Columbia in advance of the January 1, 2013 licensing renewal date.

While we know this has been a long process with a lot of steps, we are very pleased to announce yet another milestone and are confident that after all of our collective work, mobility is on the horizon for DC CPAs.
