Who Can Join The GWSCPA?
- Anyone who has passed the CPA exam (Fellow Member)
- Residency is not required to become a GWSCPA member
- More than 70% of the membership does not live or work in the District of Columbia
- Financial professionals as defined below join as Affiliate Members
- Individuals qualified to take the CPA exam but who have not yet passed
- Chartered accountants
- CPA firm financial professionals
- Government financial professions
- Not-for-profit financial professionals with titles of controller, CFO or the like
- Full time faculty teaching in a business, finance or accounting program, and
- Any other professional recommended for membership not covered by one of the above definitions and recommended by either a GWSCPA committee chair or member of the Board of Governors.
