This session will bring you up-to-speed on new and upcoming Statement on Auditing Standards (“SAS”), which will impact the manner in which all audits are conducted.

Alexander Buchholz, Partner, PKF O'Connor Davies LLP

Alexander K. Buchholz, CPA, MBA, CGMA is an Audit Partner in the Not-for-Profit and Health Care Practices of PKF O’Connor Davies, LLP. Alexander has twenty years of experience in public accounting. His areas of specialty include audits of not-for-profit entities, health care entities, cost reporting as applicable to health care and not-for-profit entities, and Single Audits conducted in accordance with the Uniform Grant Guidance. Alexander is also an adjunct professor of accounting within the City University of New York. Alexander also serves on a number of professional and academic affiliations and is a board member of the New York State Education Department State Board for Public Accountancy. Alexander’s journal publications have covered accounting, audit, tax and education topics and he has presented on both a professional and academic level.

Ravi Melwani, Partner, PKF O'Connor Davies LLP

Ravi Melwani has more than 15 years of experience in all aspects of financial reporting and compliance. He has worked on a wide range of clients including real estate, construction and not-for-profit organizations. Ravi has hands-on expertise in supervising and performing assurance engagements for clients with up to $5 billion of assets. Ravi’s financial background adds value to his client engagements. His broad technical background and hands-on service also includes agreed upon procedures such as fraud audits, internal controls consulting and management advisory assignments. Prior to joining PKF O’Connor Davies, Ravi worked at a top 50 national accounting firm and as an internal auditor for a regional bank, where he performed and assisted with compliance and Sarbanes-Oxley audits.
