Founded in 1928, Huey & Associates, P.C. is a full-service public accounting firm that has served the DC Metro area for 95 years. The founder, Samuel R. Huey, opened a bookkeeping and tax preparation service out of his home in Northwest DC, servicing a variety of clients (families of whom we still serve today). His son, Harvey L. Huey graduated from the Wharton School of Business and received the top score in the State of Maryland when he took the CPA exam in 1955. Today, the firm is lead by Robert D. Huey, CPA (Samuel’s grandson and Harvey’s son) who graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1981 from the University of Delaware. Rob first worked for several years with Coopers & Lybrand (now Price Waterhouse Coopers) before joining his father in 1985. He brings a current understanding of audit and accounting practices as well as a broad knowledge of tax laws as they apply to businesses, non-profit organizations, and individuals. Rob is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Virginia Board of Accountancy  (VBOA) and the Greater Washington Society of CPAs (GWSCPA). Huey and Associates, P.C. holds itself to the highest professional standards of service and has passed the peer review program of quality control standards as established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Position Overview & Essential Functions:

  • HNW individual, partnership, and corporate income tax return engagement management.
  • Work directly with partners, directors with the opportunity to delegate to junior staff members.
  • Communicate directly with clients.
  • Learn and grow professionally.

Job Type: Full-time; Hybrid work schedule required

Pay: From $90,000.00 to $130,000.00 per year

Salary commensurate with experience.

Work Location: In-person/Hybrid in Bethesda, MD 20814

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • At minimum 5 years of previous experience with income tax preparation.
  • Bachelors or master’s degree in accounting.
  • CPA license or significant work towards CPA exam completion.
