| ### Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting OperationsMaintain accurate accounting records in accordance with GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards while overseeing general ledger activities, account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end and year-end closing processes. Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and remain compliant with organizational policies and procedures.Financial ReportingPrepare internal financial reports and supporting schedules that provide management with timely and accurate financial information. Support budget monitoring efforts, perform financial analysis, and assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports to support organizational decision-making.Grant Management and ComplianceMonitor both restricted and unrestricted grant activity to ensure compliance with funding requirements and organizational guidelines. Assist with grant-related financial reporting and support adherence to grant agreements, approved budgets, and reporting obligations associated with various funding sources.Audit and Internal ControlsSupport the annual audit process by assisting with audit preparation and coordinating required documentation. Prepare audit schedules, reconciliations, and supporting materials while contributing to the development, implementation, and maintenance of internal controls and accounting procedures that promote financial integrity and compliance.### QualificationsA Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required, and CPA certification or CPA eligibility is preferred. Candidates should possess the ability to work effectively with an outsourced accounting firm and have a minimum of five years of progressively responsible accounting experience.The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience with general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end and year-end close processes. Experience supporting financial audits and audit preparation is essential, along with a strong understanding of grant accounting, restricted fund management, and compliance reporting requirements.Proficiency with QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software is required, as is advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel.
