Founded in 1993, the PCC is deeply committed to providing a continuum of care for low-income, uninsured and underinsured, ethnically diverse individuals and families, especially among populations that experience disparities in health outcomes and life expectancy. We work with medical, dental and behavioral health providers, local governments, and community social service partners to coordinate health care and health-impacting services for community members of all ages experiencing vulnerability.
PCC is headquartered in Silver Spring, MD and works primarily in the Maryland metro-DC region (Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties). The PCC annual budget is ~$25M; the PCC has ~80 staff. Our largest funders are the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services (MC DHHS) and the six hospitals in Montgomery County, as well as local foundations. PCC is seeking an individual with the following skill sets and competencies:
- Experience in analyzing financial statements of medium-sized not-for-profit organizations with multiple revenue sources and short- and long-term funding cycles. Financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, revenue planning, cost management and accounting, risk management, internal controls. Knowledge of various accounting software and knowledge of grant accounting is relevant to the role on the committee. CPA is Preferred.
The following Skills or Expertise would be considered useful to the position:
- Experience leading fundraising efforts for nonprofit organizations; engaging colleagues on the Board and in the community to participate in fundraising activities; or experience identifying individual and corporate fundraising opportunities and establishing relationships.
- Experience building relationships with local elected officials and their staff; policy and budget analysis; preparing and delivering oral testimony during public hearings; cultivating and nurturing advocacy coalitions.
