Why can two well-intentioned people experience the same situation so differently? Explore how assumptions, workplace norms, and differing perspectives can create conflict and disengagement—and learn a practical framework for navigating differences, strengthening engagement, and improving performance.
This session will be held in person. We'll begin the session with lunch and networking from 11:30-12:00 and then the session will run 12:00-1:00pm.

Salandra Thomas, VP of Talent and Organizational Dev., Infectious Disease Society of America
Salandra Thomas, M.S. is a non-profit executive with extensive leadership experience leading meaningful change, grounded in emotional intelligence. She is the Vice President of Talent and Organizational Development for the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA), where she leads human resources, organizational development and inclusion, diversity, access and equity strategy. Before joining IDSA, Salandra held leadership roles at the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLC. Salandra holds a Master of Science in Organizational Development and Knowledge Management from George Mason University and a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Management from the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University.
