The Manager, Accounts Receivable supports the daily operations of the accounting department with a focus on accurate cash receipts, invoicing, and reconciliations across multiple systems, including Microsoft Dynamics Business Central. This role manages registration invoicing for domestic and international events, resolves customer inquiries related to billing and payments, and ensures timely and accurate bank and merchant account reconciliations. The position plays an active role in month end and year end close, audit preparation, and onsite financial oversight at conferences. The Manager also serves as a key backup across event, sponsorship, and revenue related accounting functions.

Essential Functions: • Manage cash receipts in various systems and integrations to Microsoft Dynamics Business Central • Respond promptly to all inquiries regarding invoices, payments and credit card disputes • Manage registration invoicing for convention and conferences, primarily international teams • Reconcile registration reports and financial data and point out inconsistencies or errors • Reconcile monthly bank and merchant account activity to statements on file for majority of accounts • Prepare yearly audit schedules and provide backup documentation as request by auditors • Supervise onsite financial activity for registration at various conferences • Serve as backup for events and sponsorship invoicing for convention and conferences • Serve as backup for weekly reconciliations and journal entries for exhibit and sponsorship revenue for import to the general ledger • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements Minimum Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent required • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, with concentration in revenue accounting or accounts receivable • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) • Demonstrated experience with month-end and year-end close processes • Proficiency with accounting software systems • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment • Strong interpersonal skills and communications skills • Ability to travel up to 10%

Preferred Qualifications • Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field • 5+ years of accounting experience • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or Similar ERP system • Familiarity with association management software • Experience with association, nonprofit, or membership organization accounting • Experience with event or conference revenue accounting and reconciliation

Location: Washington, D.C. (In-office 3 days a week)

Salary Description: $88,000 - $93,000 Annually
